- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Walkthrough – Mission 1: Phantom Limbs
To locate Kazuhira, you'll first need to gather some intelligence. Ride to Da Wialo Village and infiltrate the main building. You'll find the intel file on the second floor, which will reveal Miller's exact location. Make your way to the largest building in town, identifiable by its radio equipment and flag. There are several ways to enter, but whichever route you take, be sure to explore thoroughly. The building contains numerous items to collect, including a Tape and a Diamond. However, these items aren’t your main objective, so head to the second floor of the building. The easiest way to reach it is via the stairs at the back. Once you’re up there, you’ll find the intel that will lead you to Kaz. Now that you have a clearer idea of Kaz's location, you can start making your way there. However, there are many other points on the map worth exploring to gather additional resources, so feel free to do that if you wish. If you prefer, you can head directly toward your objective. Your target is the building shown in the pictures. However, be aware that several guards will be patrolling the area, so proceed slowly through town and check around corners before moving past them. You'll find Kazuhira in a guard room near the tape player. Once you locate him, carry him out and place him on your horse. Exiting the town should be relatively straightforward, but if necessary, you can make a quick escape. While this method is faster, it’s also much louder and could attract attention. As you attempt to exfiltrate from the area, the Skulls will appear to block your path. There’s no way to confront them directly, so hop on your horse and follow the ground to the left of the bridge. Once you reach the hill, veer left and sprint toward the new landing zone. If you get spotted at any point, just run at full speed and keep going; there’s no way to fight these enemies. Quickly bring Kazuhira to the LZ and toss him onto the chopper. Ensure you’re not standing directly in the landing spot. Once the chopper lands, dismount and lift Kaz off the horse. Place him in the chopper and then hop in yourself.
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Walkthrough – Mission 9: Backup, Back Down
You have 15 minutes to destroy as many vehicles as possible. You have two options: either destroy the vehicles using explosives or extract them with a +2 Fulton. The latter is the better choice, as it's more resource-efficient and provides you with tanks and APCs for later missions or combat team deployments. If necessary, manually assign soldiers to R&D or head out into the field to capture more. If you successfully destroy or Fulton all the vehicles, you’ll trigger a bonus segment where three tanks and a gunship will be sent to hunt you down. You need to eliminate these to complete the optional objective related to the tanks. During this mission, vehicles will be moving from south to north, except for the jeep carrying the prisoner, which travels from north to south. It’s advisable to deploy north of the Yakho Oboo Supply Outpost, as shown above. You can set up an effective ambush point on the road and wait for the enemy to approach you (stealth option). Alternatively, you can choose to blow everything up (loud option). If you opt for a stealth approach, you can still take out the gunship that appears after the main portion of the mission by using the special weapon from the transport. One recommended route is to establish an ambush point just south of the last outpost at the edge of the map, near your drop-off. Use the vehicle you deployed with as a blockade, ensuring it is positioned down the road rather than across it. If you park the vehicle across the road, the AI will not recognize it as an obstruction and will drive through without stopping. When approaching the APC, make sure the turret is facing away from you to avoid being spotted while you Fulton it out. Alternatively, you can set up a roadblock using a decoy to distract the enemy. Repeat the process for all the vehicles to complete the mission. Keep in mind that the last two may only reach the Yakho Oboo Supply Outpost in the final few minutes, so you’ll need to act quickly to extract them before time runs out. Alternatively, you can rush in to destroy them, as there is no requirement to extract any of the vehicles to achieve an S rank.
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Walkthrough – Mission 2: [Flashback] Diamond Dogs

Focus on practicing Fultoning by extracting as many troops as you can. You’ll also learn to construct a cardboard box and practice close-quarters combat (CQC) and capturing enemies. There’s not much to stress about in this mission.
- Final Fantasy XIV: All FATE Mounts Guide
In Final Fantasy XIV, Eorzea is divided into different regions, each with its own FATEs. Players can explore these regions, encounter FATEs as they appear, and engage in them for experience points, gil (in-game currency), and sometimes unique rewards like gear, minions, and mounts. Ixion A Horse Outside To obtain the Ixion mount in Final Fantasy XIV, you need to participate in the "A Horse Outside" FATE, which is related to the notorious primal creature Ixion. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to obtain the Ixion mount: Unlock the FATE: Before you can participate in the "A Horse Outside" FATE, you need to make sure that it's active and available in the game world. This FATE spawns in the Lochs area, which is part of the Stormblood expansion content. Check your map and the FATE tracker to see if the FATE is currently available. Join the FATE: Once the FATE is active, head to the Lochs area and look for the FATE marker on your map. Travel to the indicated location and wait for the FATE to start. The FATE "A Horse Outside" involves battling Ixion and its minions. Participate and Defeat Ixion: Engage in the FATE and contribute to the battle against Ixion. The FATE may have specific mechanics or objectives that you need to fulfill. Work together with other players in the area to defeat Ixion and complete the FATE. Collect Ixion Horns: Once the FATE is successfully completed, you have a chance to receive Ixion Horns as a reward. These horns are a rare drop from the FATE and are required to obtain the Ixion mount. Gather 12 Ixion Horns: To obtain the Ixion mount, you need to collect a total of 12 Ixion Horns. This may require participating in the "A Horse Outside" FATE multiple times to accumulate enough horns Trade in Ixion Horns for the Mount: After you've gathered 12 Ixion Horns, visit Eschina in Rhalgr's Reach. She is the vendor who exchanges the Ixion Horns for the Ixion mount. Hand over the required number of Ixion Horns to receive the mount. Enjoy Your New Mount: Once you've exchanged the Ixion Horns for the Ixion mount, it will be added to your character's mount collection. You can now summon and ride the Ixion mount throughout the game world. Please note that acquiring the Ixion mount can take some time and effort due to the rarity of the Ixion Horn drops from the FATE. The Ixion mount can also be traded for 400 Faux Leaves or Khloe's Gold Certificate of Commendation at Idyllshire. Ironfrog Mover A Finale Most Formidable The Ironfrog mount in Final Fantasy XIV is obtained through a specific FATE called "The Frog's Life." Here's how you can acquire the Ironfrog mount through this FATE: Location: The FATE "The Frog's Life" takes place in the East Shroud area of the game. Participation: The FATE can spawn randomly in the East Shroud region. You will need to actively participate in this FATE when it appears. Completion: During the FATE, you'll need to engage in combat against enemies and complete the objectives. The FATE involves helping a group of NPCs that are dealing with frog-related issues. Rewards: Successfully completing "The Frog's Life" FATE gives you a chance to receive the "Frog Suit" item. This item is not a guaranteed drop, and you might need to participate in the FATE multiple times to obtain it. Frog Suit: The Frog Suit is a wearable item that transforms your character into a frog when used. This item is a key component for obtaining the Ironfrog mount. Trade for the Mount: Once you have the Frog Suit, you can trade it to the Calamity Salvager NPC located in major cities. The Calamity Salvager allows you to exchange certain event-related items, such as the Frog Suit, for other rewards. Ironfrog Mount: By exchanging the Frog Suit with the Calamity Salvager, you'll receive the Ironfrog mount in return. The Ironfrog mount will then be added to your mount collection, and you'll be able to use it to traverse the world of Eorzea. Additionally, you can obtain the Ironfrog mount by trading 12 Formidable Cogs with Fathard at Eulmore. Remember that FATEs are dynamic events, and they can be influenced by server population and other factors. The availability of the FATE "The Frog's Life" and the drop rate of the Frog Suit may vary. Level Checker Omicron Recall: Killing Order The Level Checker key can be purchased from Nesva located in Radz-at-Han. To obtain this key, you'll need to trade in 12 Chi Bolts, which can be earned by participating in the FATE named "Omicron Recall: Killing Order." In this FATE, your task is to defeat the boss called Chi. Each iteration of the FATE will yield a total of six Chi Bolts. Consequently, you must successfully complete the FATE twice to gather enough Chi Bolts to acquire the mount. To determine when the FATE will be accessible on the Ultima Thule map, consult community hubs like the Faloop server. The FATE operates on a 48-hour cooldown and necessitates the completion of two FATEs from the "Omicron’s Recall" chain to be triggered. If necessary, consider traveling to alternate worlds to complete these prerequisites, taking into account server load to avoid becoming ensnared in a lengthy queue. It's worth mentioning that you'll need to unlock flying capabilities in the area to access the FATE. If you haven't unlocked flying, consider enlisting the help of a friend or requesting assistance from someone who can provide you with transportation. Wivre To get the Wivre Mount in FFXIV, you must farm Bicolor Gemstones and buy vouchers to trade with Edelina in Mor Dhona. You can also buy the horn on the Marketboard for around 50,000,000 gil, depending on the market at the time.

It's a true celebration of the series' roots, capturing the essence of the side-scrolling classics that made the original games iconic. The pixel art of yesteryear has evolved into vibrant redesigns, with fluid animations that bring the neon-lit streets to life. The characters, while reflecting the passage of time, maintain the essence of the thug-kicking icons fans adore. - PS5 Slim: Side-by-side Comparison
The colossal design of Sony's white-and-black obelisk-like console has never been one to enamor, functioning more as an acquired taste than a beloved aesthetic. The anticipated redesign for the PS5, akin to Sony's successful overhaul of the PlayStation 3's design, falls short in the $499.99 new PlayStation 5 and $449.99 new PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, offering only partial solutions. In terms of size, the new "slim" PS5 is indeed smaller, boasting a purported reduction in volume by "more than 30 percent." Yet, upon closer inspection, the perception oscillates between acknowledging its diminished size and still recognizing its substantial stature. The intricate curves and details of the new PS5 contribute to an inconsistent perception of its design, a consequence of its overly intricate and somewhat unattractive appearance. While the slim version exhibits refinements such as shorter white covers, a curved top, and contrasting panel lines, it introduces perplexing design choices. The protruding disc drive resembles an odd growth, the absence of vent fins lends an unfinished appearance, and the inclusion of cat ear-shaped feet for horizontal positioning appears more comical than functional. Remarkably, the console can stand vertically without the additional $29.99 stand, a departure from the original PS5's convertible stand accommodating both positions. Beyond its design quirks, the new PS5 presents marginal improvements: a boosted 1TB built-in storage (up from 825GB), and two front-facing USB-C ports in lieu of the previous USB-C and USB-A setup. Notably, the relocated disc drive eject button alleviates the historical confusion between power and eject buttons since the PS4 era. Regarding the detachable disc drive, Sony streamlines its attachment and detachment without necessitating tools, facilitating easy modifications compared to the complex process of adding an M.2 SSD. However, the rationale behind this feature remains questionable. While it offers a solution for Digital Edition PS5 owners experiencing buyer's remorse, the $79.99 price tag for the drive attachment increases the overall cost, considering the Digital Edition's price rise to $449.99. Furthermore, setting up the disc drive mandates an internet connection, potentially hindering offline use and raising concerns about console pairing for secondhand drives. This enforced connectivity resembles a form of DRM, potentially complicating preservation efforts in the long run. Ultimately, the PS5 slim's eccentricities and limited enhancements position it as a perplexing mid-cycle update. Aside from its reduced size, modest storage upgrade, and reorganized port selection, this iteration appears more beneficial for Sony's interests than for its customers. Existing PS5 owners might find scant reason to upgrade, while prospective buyers could opt for the original PS5 until the slim version becomes the sole choice available.
- Square Enix Teases New Towns in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Prepare to venture into uncharted territory in the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, as Square Enix unveils plans for "totally new cities" absent from the original PlayStation classic. Director Naoki Hamaguchi shared insights with Game Informer, shedding light on the developer's ambitious vision to enrich the Final Fantasy 7 universe. "In Rebirth, we've added these types of cities like the Crow's Nest — totally new cities that did not exist in the original to go deeper and create this whole worldview of Rebirth," explained Hamaguchi. The Crow's Nest, a fresh addition to the Final Fantasy 7 landscape, stands as a sister town to the classic Under Junon, boasting an anti-Shinra ambiance that beckons exploration beyond the main quest. Hamaguchi detailed the game design philosophy behind Rebirth, emphasizing player agency in crafting their journey. "We want the player to be able to make these different adventures and go on their own journeys according to their interests," he added, hinting at the allure of side quests and hidden narratives waiting to be uncovered. While specifics about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth remain shrouded in mystery, a tantalizing trailer showcased iconic locations, including Bugenhagen’s planetarium at Cosmo Canyon, the Mythril Mine, the Cargo Ship, the inn at Kalm, and the Nibelheim Reactor. - Marvel and Sony Sign Exclusive X-Men Gaming Partnership up to 2035
In a shocking revelation following the Insomniac data breach, it has come to light that Sony and Marvel have inked a monumental deal that ensures exclusive X-Men games will be a PlayStation and PC exclusive until the close of 2035. Leaked slides from the breach meticulously outline the terms of the X-Men license agreement, emphasizing a strict exclusivity clause. Until December 31, 2035, Marvel is prohibited from releasing or announcing any X-Men games on console, PC, or streaming platforms. Notably, utilizing an X-Men character as a "competitive advantage" in a game, as exemplified by playing as Wolverine exclusively on Xbox in Ultimate Alliance, is strictly forbidden. While X-Men characters are allowed in multi-family Marvel games, the agreement makes it clear that Sony holds the reins when it comes to standalone X-Men titles for the next 12 years. Exceptions include Marvel retaining rights to children's games and select X-Men titles from the '90s. The leaked documents further unveil the financial intricacies of the deal, including development and marketing budgets for each X-Men game, Marvel's royalty structure based on sales nature (physical, digital, bundle), and termination terms. Unsurprisingly, the designated platforms for these exclusive games are PlayStation and PC. According to one of the slides, Marvel's Wolverine is slated for a 2026 release, with the first X-Men game hitting the scene in 2030. A potentially outdated extended roadmap hints at a third X-Men game in 2033, suggesting that the Wolverine game is the inaugural entry in Insomniac's X-Men lineup. There are also mentions of Wolverine Online (2026) and X-Men Online (2028), with a tentative fourth X-Men game in the pipeline. This exclusivity deal adds to the growing trend of video game developers securing licenses for Marvel IPs. Electronic Arts, for instance, recently announced a long-term deal with Marvel to produce action-adventure games, including an Iron Man game. Meanwhile, Skydance Media is crafting a Marvel World War 2 narrative-driven adventure, and Arkane Lyon is working on Marvel's Blade, as revealed at The Game Awards 2023. As the gaming industry continues to invest in Marvel's rich universe, Sony's strategic move aligns with Marvel's broader plans for the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Deadpool 3 on the horizon, featuring mutants Deadpool and Wolverine, 2024 promises to be a pivotal year for Disney's MCU.
- Why Grand Theft Auto VI Will Define the New Generation
Rockstar Games, the powerhouse behind the iconic Grand Theft Auto series, has finally dropped the bombshell fans have been eagerly anticipating for what feels like an eternity—Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially in the works. As the franchise approaches its 25th anniversary, Rockstar chose a low-key approach to unveil this monumental news, utilizing the concise medium of Twitter to make the grand announcement, confirming not just the game's existence, but its imminent arrival. Set to unwrap its first teaser trailer early next month, it seems Rockstar is gifting gamers an early holiday treat. In the midst of a deluge of leaks preceding this revelation, it's not merely the confirmation of Grand Theft Auto 6 that's turning heads; it's the realization that the game is now undeniably on the horizon. Rockstar tantalizingly teased on Twitter that the first trailer drop is scheduled for early December—potentially an early Christmas gift for the gaming community. As we find ourselves three years deep into the current gaming generation, Rockstar's established track record makes a compelling case for Grand Theft Auto 6 to be the title that pushes the boundaries of both technical prowess and graphical splendor. Here's why we believe this could be the case. Grand Theft Auto 6: A Decade in the Making In retrospect, the time gap might not seem extensive, but considering the last installment, GTA V, hit the shelves in 2013, it's been quite the journey. Rewind to a gaming landscape dominated by Activision's stranglehold on Spider-Man, Batman keeping superhero games afloat, Ubisoft's last noteworthy Assassin's Creed, and a market saturated with formulaic open-world titles—a lot has changed. Rockstar unleashed GTA V during the twilight of the seventh gaming generation, and now, as we stand in 2023, a decade has passed. While the exact development timeline remains shrouded in mystery, given the sheer scale of the project, it's reasonable to assume Grand Theft Auto 6 has been simmering in the creative cauldron for the majority of this timeframe. GTA 6: Taking Advantage of Ninth-Gen Hardware The gaming landscape has transformed significantly since 2013, with technological advancements providing both opportunities and challenges for developers. While the industry has sometimes favored revenue over creativity, the past decade has equipped passionate developers with the tools to go the extra mile. Grand Theft Auto 6 is poised to leverage the ninth-generation console hardware to its fullest extent, showcasing the potential of modern technology and graphics. The substantial revenue generated by GTA V and its online counterpart over the years positions the upcoming sequel to benefit immensely from a purely business standpoint. This financial windfall could significantly bolster the development process, ensuring a product that pushes the boundaries of what the ninth generation can deliver. GTA 5: Setting the Bar High Looking back at GTA V, despite its infamous loading screens, the game was a technical marvel during the seventh generation. It not only boasted cutting-edge visuals for its time but also pushed the hardware to its limits. Rockstar's meticulous attention to detail, consistent frame rates, seamless transitions between protagonists in a vast open world, and a gripping narrative contributed to the game's status as one of the most significant entries of the seventh and eighth generations. Comparing this to the recent advancements in hardware, as showcased by IGN's load time comparison between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, highlights the transformative impact of SSDs in the ninth generation. Rockstar's ability to push boundaries with seventh-gen hardware in 2013 sets the stage for an even more groundbreaking experience with Grand Theft Auto 6. GTA 6: Rockstar's Next Evolution of Open Worlds? While GTA V adeptly navigated the open-world setting, many games in the genre have become formulaic and restrictive. Enter Nintendo's game-changer, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in 2017, which revolutionized the open-world formula. GTA V and The Witcher 3, while exceptional, adhered closely to the standard formula. However, the arrival of Elden Ring in 2022 marked a paradigm shift, challenging established norms and garnering both praise and criticism. Given Rockstar's history of delivering innovative, quality games, there's a sense of anticipation that Grand Theft Auto 6 could redefine the open-world experience. In an industry where risks often result in closures or layoffs, Rockstar's track record instills confidence in the potential for a groundbreaking and inventive gaming experience. Tempering Expectations: A Wise Approach Despite these promising indicators, it's crucial to maintain tempered expectations. Rockstar, like any other company, aims to generate revenue, and the departure of key staff members post-GTA V raises questions about the sequel's development. Keeping a balance between optimism and realism, the impending first look at Grand Theft Auto 6 is an exciting moment, and the gaming community eagerly awaits the unfolding of this next chapter in the iconic franchise.
- Starfield Snubbed at The Game Awards
The Game Awards stand out as a thrilling night for gamers each year, eagerly awaiting nominations to see if our predictions align with those of the judges. To our surprise, Starfield received minimal recognition, securing only one nomination, and notably missing out on Game of the Year (GOTY). It's undeniable that the game possesses numerous merits. However, it has faced challenges, with flawed updates that worsen the gaming experience and a lukewarm reception from players. Compounding the situation is the release of games like Baldur’s Gate 3, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Alan Wake II. This influx of noteworthy titles contributes to Starfield's noticeable decline, a surprising development considering the game was one of the most anticipated of 2023. The swift descent from high expectations must be disheartening for the developers, especially coupled with the revelation that Starfield has fewer players than the 12-year-old Skyrim. The ease with which an older game can outperform a newcomer is remarkable, signaling a challenging year for Bethesda, with the distant release of Elder Scrolls VI adding to the uphill battle. However, The Game Awards 2023 shouldn't be a night for lamentation, at least not until we witness our favorite games missing out on top honors. It's also a night of revelations, trailers, and major announcements. Although GTA VI has confirmed no trailer until December, the potential for other exciting reveals on the grand stage remains unknown. To witness all the excitement, drama, and perhaps even the Starfield developers regaining their composure, tune in to The Game Awards 2023 on December 8th.
- Switch Fans Angry with Hogwarts Legacy Port
Just a few days ago, leaked footage of Hogwarts Legacy running on the Nintendo Switch emerged, causing widespread community concern about the game's graphics and FPS settings on this platform. Despite initial speculations that any deficiencies would be addressed before the official launch, the Hogwarts Legacy Switch version, which was released on November 14, failed to meet public expectations. YouTube channels like Cycu1 and SwitchUp conducted thorough comparisons between the Switch and PlayStation versions, emphasizing graphical downgrades despite relatively smooth gameplay. In anticipation of Hogwarts Legacy's graphics on the Switch, Cycu1's YouTube channel presented a side-by-side comparison with the PlayStation version, revealing apparent differences. SwitchUp's YouTube channel commented, "None of these issues are deal-breakers for most people, but in terms of gameplay, the need to load between every single shop in a town with about 10-15 buildings certainly impacts the flow." Additionally, despite significant delays, the open-world gameplay, a significant selling point on other platforms, was compromised on the Switch. While the PS and PC versions allowed for free wandering, the Switch version exhibited continuous loading screens lasting over 30 seconds, especially when entering various in-game shops. The Nintendo Switch version's struggle to provide a seamless open-world experience sharply contrasts with its counterparts on other platforms. Hogwarts Legacy, initially released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, with later expansions to PS4 and Xbox One, garnered positive reviews with a commendable score of 84 on Metacritic. However, reactions to the Switch version suggest a potential decline in its overall score as player feedback continues to surface.
