Silent Hill 2 Remake Launches to Near-Perfect Reviews and Fan Acclaim

The long-awaited Silent Hill 2 Remake has finally been released. Developed by Bloober Team in collaboration with Konami Digital Entertainment, the game is a modern reimagining of the iconic 2001 cult classic, Silent Hill 2. The developers aimed to remain faithful to the original while incorporating the latest technological advancements—and the results have been impressive.



Early reviews from critics who got a chance to play the game before its official release were overwhelmingly positive. The Silent Hill 2 Remake earned an 87/100 on Metacritic (87/100 for the PS version and 86/100 for the PC version) and even surpassed the original’s score on Famitsu. Its success was so significant that some internet trolls attempted to manipulate its Wikipedia rating. Now, on release day, we can see how it's faring on the PlayStation Store.


As of today, October 8, Silent Hill 2 Remake is officially available. PlayStation users can purchase the game via the PlayStation Store, where its current rating is displayed.


According to the PlayStation Store, Silent Hill 2 Remake boasts an impressive 4.91/5.0 rating, based on around 2,500 user reviews. A staggering 96% of players awarded it five stars, while only 1% gave it a one-star rating, and the remaining 3% rated it with four or three stars.
