The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features 152 Shrines in total, with 120 located on the Surface and 32 in the Sky. While there are no Shrines in the Depths, you'll find Lightroots there, which serve as fast travel points, similar to Shrines. Each Shrine offers a mini-dungeon filled with puzzles and rewards, including at least one Treasure Chest and a Light of Blessing.

Kikakin Shrine (-0395, 2736, 0302)

Kikakin Shrine is located northwest of the Great Hyrule Forest, perched atop a mountain range to the northeast of Mount Drena. This shrine offers a unique and thematic challenge related to light and darkness, fitting for its remote, elevated location.

Shrine Challenge: Shining in Darkness

The challenge inside Kikakin Shrine is titled Shining in Darkness, and it involves navigating through dark areas using light sources or luminous materials. Here’s what to expect:

Navigating Darkness: The shrine is likely shrouded in darkness, requiring you to use items like Brightbloom Seeds, torches, or other glowing materials to illuminate your path.
Strategic Use of Light: You’ll need to place light sources carefully or make use of objects in the environment that can glow or reflect light to guide your way through puzzles or avoid obstacles.
Hidden Elements: Certain parts of the shrine or its puzzles may only be revealed once illuminated, so you’ll need to stay observant and make the most of your light sources.

Shrine Rewards:

Completing the Shining in Darkness challenge rewards you with:

Opal: A valuable gem that can be sold for Rupees or used in crafting.
Luminous Stone: A glowing material useful for upgrading armor or selling for a decent price.
Amber: Another gemstone that can be used for crafting, upgrading gear, or sold for Rupees.
Zonaite Bow: A powerful bow crafted with Zonai technology, offering enhanced durability and effectiveness in ranged combat.

The Kikakin Shrine offers a visually striking and engaging challenge focused on using light to navigate darkness, and rewards you with valuable resources and a Zonaite Bow to aid in future battles.

Minetak Shrine (0394, 3484, 0068)

Minetak Shrine is located in the Deplian Badlands. It is a cave shrine with a distinct entrance, marked by a Bokoblin-style structure, and guarded by enemies, making it a bit tricky to access.

Finding the Shrine:

Locate the Cave: Head to the Deplian Badlands, where you will find a large Bokoblin skull structure near the cave entrance. One of the guards patrolling this area is on horseback, making it possible to sneak by or avoid direct confrontation.
Follow the Blupee: If you approach the area stealthily, you can spot a Blupee, a glowing blue creature. Following the Blupee will lead you directly to the cave entrance.
Bokoblin-Decorated Cave: The entrance to the cave is decorated in the Bokoblin style, with materials and design reminiscent of their camps.

Shrine Challenge: Rauru's Blessing

Once inside, the Minetak Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine, meaning there are no additional puzzles or combat challenges inside. The shrine appears as a reward for reaching the cave and bypassing the Bokoblin enemies outside.

Shrine Rewards: Big Battery

Upon completion, you will receive a Big Battery as a reward. This item significantly increases the capacity of your Zonai energy devices, making it useful for extended use of Zonai machinery, such as vehicles or powered tools.

The Minetak Shrine provides an easy completion once accessed, but requires some stealth or combat skill to reach, rewarding players with a valuable Big Battery to enhance their Zonai energy usage.

Sikukuu Shrine (0700, 2793, 0226)

The Sikukuu Shrine is located north of the Great Hyrule Forest, just southeast of the Thyphlo Ruins. You’ll need to go around the forest to reach it, and it’s visible from the ruins, making it relatively easy to find once you're in the area.

Shrine Challenge: Spinning Gears

Inside the Sikukuu Shrine, you’ll face the challenge titled Spinning Gears. Here’s what to expect:

Mechanical Puzzle: The shrine likely involves manipulating rotating gears or platforms to solve puzzles. You'll need to use Ultrahand to move or stop gears, adjust their movement, or align them to activate certain mechanisms.
Timing and Coordination: Be prepared to time your actions correctly to advance through the shrine. Certain gears may need to be stopped or set in motion to open pathways or move platforms.
Potential Combat: There may be enemies or mechanical constructs that must be defeated while navigating the spinning gears.

Shrine Rewards: Zonaite Longsword

Upon completing the Spinning Gears challenge, you will be rewarded with a Zonaite Longsword. This sword, crafted from Zonai materials, is durable and offers increased attack power, making it a valuable weapon for both combat and durability.

Mayak Shrine (1270, 3733, 0106)

The Mayak Shrine is located on the northern edge of the map, northwest of Death Mountain, situated in the center of the East Deplian Badlands. Its remote location makes it a little challenging to reach, but it offers a unique puzzle to complete once you're there.

Shrine Challenge: Timely Catches

The challenge in the Mayak Shrine is called Timely Catches, and it involves precise timing and coordination. Here's what you can expect:

Moving Platforms or Objects: You'll likely encounter moving platforms or objects that need to be caught or activated at the right moment. This could involve using Ultrahand or other abilities to manipulate objects as they move through the shrine.
Timing-Based Puzzles: The puzzles will require you to trigger mechanisms, grab items, or move objects with perfect timing to progress through the shrine. It may also involve launching or catching objects in mid-air.
Coordination and Reflexes: Success in this shrine will depend on your ability to time your actions carefully, catching items or platforms at the right moment to move forward.

Shrine Rewards: Large Zonai Charge

Upon completing the Timely Catches challenge, you will be rewarded with a Large Zonai Charge, a powerful resource used to energize Zonai devices or increase your energy pool for Zonai machinery.

The Mayak Shrine offers a fun, timing-based puzzle and rewards you with a valuable Large Zonai Charge to enhance your Zonai-powered equipment and devices!

Jiotak Shrine (1833, 3179, 0257)

The Jiotak Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be a bit tricky to find due to its hidden entrance, but it's worth it for the rewards and the shrine's challenge. Here’s a guide on how to reach the shrine, handle the heat, and complete the shrine challenge.

How to Reach Jiotak Shrine

Location: The Jiotak Shrine is located north of Goron City and slightly northwest of Death Mountain. Look for the small mountain in the foothills labeled Isle of Raba on your map. This is where the entrance to the cave that leads to the shrine is located.
Enter the Cave: Find the entrance to the cave in the Isle of Raba. Once inside, you’ll need to make your way through the cave to reach the Jiotak Shrine.

Surviving Unbearable Heat

Since the cave is near Death Mountain, you’ll immediately be affected by the Unbearable Heat, which can cause damage to Link unless you are prepared:

Fireproof Elixirs: Make sure to cook some before you enter the cave. You can create Fireproof Elixirs by mixing a Fireproof Lizard with some monster parts.
Flamebreaker Armor: Alternatively, if you have Flamebreaker Armor, equip it to protect yourself from the extreme heat. This armor is typically purchased in Goron City.

Shrine Challenge: Rauru's Blessing

Once you reach the Jiotak Shrine, you’ll find that it offers the Rauru's Blessing. This means that there is no complex puzzle or challenge inside the shrine itself. Rauru's Blessing shrines usually reward the player just for reaching them, which is the challenge in itself due to their hidden or difficult locations.

Shrine Rewards

After reaching and activating the shrine, you will be rewarded with the Magic Staff. The Magic Staff can be a versatile weapon, and its power can increase depending on the type of material fused with it.

Preparation: Since the shrine location involves heat and possibly some enemies, make sure to prepare with healing items and elixirs.
Exploration: Explore the cave thoroughly as there might be additional materials or resources to collect along the way.

Sibajitak Shrine (2401, 3273, 0402)

Use Ultrahand Ability: You’ll likely need to use the Ultrahand ability to move and align objects in specific patterns to progress.

Shrine Rewards

Upon successfully completing the Alignment challenge, you’ll receive the Strong Zonaite Longsword. This sword is a powerful weapon, especially useful in combat situations where you need extra strength.

Use Zonai Devices: If there are Zonai devices or contraptions in the shrine, don’t hesitate to experiment with them to find the best way to align objects.

Moshapin Shrine (2678, 1905, 0131)

The Moshapin Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is located within Lake Intenoch Cave in the Eldin Canyon region. Here's how to find the cave, complete the Lake Intenoch Cave Crystal Shrine Quest, and claim your rewards.

How to Find Moshapin Shrine

Location: The shrine is hidden in Lake Intenoch Cave, which is located south of Death Mountain, in the area between Gero Pond and Lake Intenoch. The cave itself serves as the entrance to the shrine.

How to Unlock Moshapin Shrine

To unlock the shrine, you must complete the Lake Intenoch Cave Crystal Shrine Quest. Here's a brief guide to help:

Find the Crystal: Upon entering the cave, you'll need to locate a glowing crystal, which is key to unlocking the shrine. The crystal will be found somewhere inside the cave.
Transport the Crystal: Using your Ultrahand ability, carry or guide the crystal through the cave back to the shrine’s location. You may need to clear obstacles or defeat enemies to safely bring the crystal to the shrine pad.
Activate the Shrine: Once the crystal is placed on the shrine pad, the Moshapin Shrine will be unlocked, and you can enter.

Shrine Challenge: Rauru's Blessing

Inside the shrine, you’ll find that the Rauru's Blessing challenge is applied, meaning there are no puzzles to solve. The reward is granted simply for completing the quest to access the shrine.

Shrine Rewards

Upon completing the shrine, you’ll receive a Mighty Zonaite Shield, a powerful defensive item that increases your durability and protection in combat.

Additional Tips

Be Ready for Combat: The cave might contain enemies, so be prepared with good weapons and armor.
Use Ultrahand with Care: If the crystal gets stuck or out of reach, use the Recall ability or other Zonai devices to move it more easily through the cave.

Kisinona Shrine (2568, 1246, 0173)

The Kisinona Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is located in the Eldin Canyon region, northeast of Central Hyrule. It's found slightly northwest of the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower, making it relatively easy to spot if you're familiar with that area.

How to Find Kisinona Shrine

Location: From Upland Zorana Skyview Tower, head northwest, and you should find the Kisinona Shrine nestled within the Eldin Canyon region. You can glide down from the tower to reach the shrine faster.

Shrine Challenge: Wind Power

The challenge in Kisinona Shrine is called Wind Power, which involves using wind-based mechanics to solve puzzles. Here's how to approach the shrine challenge:

Use Zonai Devices: You'll likely encounter fans or wind-propelling devices that you'll need to activate and manipulate to move platforms, push objects, or create pathways.
Ultrahand and Fans: Use the Ultrahand ability to position or attach fans to objects or platforms that need to be moved across gaps or up ramps.
Glide with Wind: You may also need to utilize wind currents to glide with your paraglider across gaps or reach higher platforms.

By controlling wind-powered elements, you'll be able to navigate through the puzzles and reach the shrine's end.

Shrine Rewards

Upon completing the Wind Power challenge, you’ll be rewarded with a Construct Bow, a solid ranged weapon useful for precise archery.
